Openly queer and autistic, Carpenter writes songs that confront toxic religion, identity, sexuality, and the chaos of existence with sharp wit, vulnerability, and unapologetic honesty.
Raised as a pastor’s kid in a traveling gospel family band throughout the Midwest, Carpenter evolved from child gospel prodigy and champion yodeler into a boundary-pushing artist with roots in Nashville’s country scene. After touring with Grand Ole Opry legends, landing a Billboard country single, and making their own Grand Ole Opry debut, they continued carving out a world entirely their own.
