Pig Milk
About
Pig Milk is a New York City–based rock band building a loud, heart-forward world rooted in queer community, spontaneity, and connection. Formed in 2024 by bassist Jill Pesce and Lexie Viklund, the band was born from an act of love after Lexie gifted Jill her very first bass guitar. What began as a playful attempt to impress a new partner quickly evolved into a magnetic creative project, bringing together vocalist Mic Zammutto and guitarist Allegra through friendship, chance encounters, and the shared energy of New York’s queer scene.
Blending female-forward rock with raw emotion, massive hooks, and unapologetic attitude, Pig Milk channels the spirit of bands like Halestorm, Paramore, The Pretty Reckless, and Joan Jett while carving out a voice entirely their own. Their music captures the intensity of desire, heartbreak, identity, and chosen family without losing the band’s chaotic charm and sense of play. From their very first shows in winter 2025, Pig Milk cultivated a cult-like following within NYC’s queer and lesbian communities, inspiring a now-signature crowd tradition of enthusiastic “oinking” after every song.
Following a win at Dave’s Lesbian Bar’s Annual Battle of the Bands and their first headline performance at Baby’s All Right, Pig Milk has continued to build momentum with the release of their debut single “Take You” and upcoming single “Breakdown,” alongside a headline performance at Mercury Lounge. At its core, Pig Milk is about turning love, friendship, and fearless self-expression into something communal — music that invites you to scream, sweat, laugh, and belong.
